Popular calendar app, Sunrise, was recently acquired by Microsoft to help lead their mobile Outlook efforts. Shortly after, Sunrise expanded their office in Soho New York. I was approached by founder and CEO, Jeremy Le Van, and asked to work with interior design firm, Avandi Studio, to custom illustrate a mural for their new entrance lobby. I illustrated over 40 icons that were inspired by the users of the Sunrise app and took it's visual cues from modern UI design. We also incorporated a few of the icons into the conference room wayfinding as well. Photography by Avandi Studio and wallpaper printing by Flavor Paper.
